The upcoming Kimberley Process Intersessional took place from 13-17 May 2024 at SO/ Uptown Dubai. As the Chair of the Kimberley Process (KP) for 2024, the UAE is leading efforts to modernise, reform, and strengthen the KP under the 'Year of Delivery' programme. Our aim is to ensure its continued operation and pivotal role in facilitating global trade in conflict-free diamonds.
The intersessional served as a crucial midpoint in this year's KP programme, offering a platform for governments, civil society observers, and industry leaders to assess progress and tackle pressing issues impacting the global diamond trade. We collectively strived towards strengthening the KP and fostering positive change within the diamond industry.
