Working Groups and Committees
The Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) was established in 2003. At that time, a number of working groups and committees were formed to ensure and to maintain its programs. Drawing on the collaborative experiences and capabilities of existing full participants, they include:

Working Group of Diamond Experts (WGDE)

Working Group on Statistics
The Kimberley Process Working Group on Statistics (WGS) ensures timely reporting and analysis of statistical data on the production and trade of rough diamonds. By doing this, anomalies can be identified and the effective implementation of the scheme can be ensured.

Committee on Participation and Chairmanship (CPC)
The Committee on Participation and Chairmanship assists the Chair of the Kimberley Process in handling the admission of new participants and advises if a Participant fails to comply with requirements, which can lead to their removal from the scheme.

Ad Hoc Committee on Review and Reform (AHCRR)
Ad Hoc Committee on Review and Reform (AHCRR) is mandated to perform the review and reform of the KPCS, and the present AHCRR starts from 2023 which is the start of the review cycle of the K.P. The period of the AHCRR scope can be extended on a yearly basis if required, but this extension cannot exceed three (3) years. The AHCRR may constitute sub-teams to assist the process of review and reform.

Working Group of Monitoring (WGM)
The Kimberley Process Working Group on Monitoring (WGM) deals with issues relating to the implementation of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme by participants, with a view to promoting full and effective implementation by all participants.
